Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about choice and control, NDIS funding, service agreements, quality and getting started.
What does participant choice and control actually mean for OIT Million?
For OIT Million, choice and control means putting you at the centre of your support. You have a say in what support you receive, who provides it, and how, when and where it is delivered.
At OIT Million, we aim to provide support around the participant—not expect the participant to fit around the service.
What is the difference between self-managed and plan-managed NDIS funding when choosing providers?
Both self-managed and plan-managed participants have flexibility in choosing providers, but payments and administration are handled differently.
Self-managed: You manage your NDIS funding and payments yourself. You choose your providers and pay providers directly.
Plan-managed: A plan manager manages eligible payments and invoices on your behalf. You can still choose your providers, while your plan manager handles the financial administration.
What do we include in your NDIS Service Agreement?
Our Service Agreement is clear and easy to understand, so that you know what to expect, including:
The services and supports to be provided
Your goals and individual support needs
Support hours and agreed costs
Your responsibilities and the provider’s responsibilities
Cancellation arrangements
How and when the agreement can be reviewed or changed
How to provide feedback or make a complaint
How does OIT Million support its participants?
OIT Million follows a person-centred approach, starting with understanding your needs and goals, followed by a Service Agreement, support planning, service commencement, progress monitoring and ongoing review.
Can I switch to OIT Million from another provider?
Yes, absolutely. OIT Million will discuss your support needs, assess your request and match you with suitable services and supports.
How does OIT Million maintain its quality?
OIT Million maintains quality by:
Listening to participants and regularly seeking feedback.
Employing skilled, qualified and appropriately screened workers.
Providing ongoing training and supervision.
Regularly reviewing supports against participants’ goals and needs.
Continuously improving our services in line with NDIS requirements.
How does OIT Million avoid conflicts of interest for its Support Coordinators?
OIT Million protects participant choice by:
Putting participants’ interests and goals first.
Offering suitable provider options rather than directing choices.
Clearly disclosing any potential conflict of interest.
Keeping recommendations transparent and participant-led.
Respecting the participant’s right to choose or change providers.
